It is among the tiny percentage of wines with the prized designation of "Appellation Controlee." The Grand Cru is the supreme level. Domain Jacques Prieur rests in the Cote d'Or section of the Burgundy region. The wines are scarce and expensive, and can only become more so in the face of everincreasing demand. Among the best wines from the estate are Clos de Vougeot. These are wines exhibiting deep, ruby colors. Flavors: Spicy, new oak, vanillin. Round, attractive. Peak maturity: six years. |
