Soyboy in Retrospective by herm 'scoop' toba 8-13-96 Released in this week's New Times is another mention of studio G's CEO and masterdesigner. Another one of the famous Soyboy quotes was included in the New Times' 10-year retrospective. It seems that Soyboy harangued The Shredder to reveal his identity enough that it made a lasting impression. (We at the Gazette are still wondering why?) We were on hand to catch the live reaction upon reading the news. Soyboy commented that this will "...only help with the Hasselhoff/Mentos negotiations...which are proceeding slowly." A press liaison for Soyboy was suddenly dispatched to contact John Tesh regarding a commissioned soundtrack and introspective. I queried the Lifestyle episode that was mentioned during our first interview, but the question was ignored. Still, Soyboy continues his quest to discover The Shredder (you don't mind if we call you 'The', do you?). There are even unconfirmed rumors that vigilante stakeouts have been started by the studio G camp. Soyboy dismissed this as silly gossip, but declined to discuss it further. "We are being very careful, at this point...very noncommittal." We, at the Gazette, are looking forward to the next Shreddatorium (8-14-96, 7-9pm) and hope you will be there, too. It's not to be missed. |
